Two boat ramps are mere minutes away, and Port Douglas Marina is your step-off point to the best diving and snorkelling that the Great Barrier Reef has to offer, or try some reef or deep-sea fishing.
Exploring the Daintree is one of life’s great experiences. It starts just beyond the doorstep of To the Beach...on Newell, with Mossman Gorge 10 minutes away, and the Daintree River and World Heritage Listed Rainforests just beyond.
Of course, you could just grab a long cool drink, a book or magazine, and escape in a hammock under the palms on tranquil Newell Beach, but the lagoon pool and waterfall is another option to consider. Parents will be happy to know the pool area is completely fenced to restrict kids’ access.
